Solar for Commercial Applications

We are now moving into the commercial application of solar energy for businesses and industrial uses. AEA is using a new air conditioner/heat pump zoned system that is a hybrid. It requires no battery storage and operates at a SEER 36 level. It uses 90% solar during the day, so for businesses that are mostly open during daylight hours the cost savings in the whole electric bill can reach over 80% during the days using either heating or cooling. Payback of initial investment is approximately 5 years for many businesses.

Lowering your attic temperature means that your air conditioner has much less work to do.  This can greatly extend the life of your unit. AEA carries 38-watt solar attic ventilators, and installs them for a reasonable price.

 

Insulation

We have an array of innovative materials to choose from, and we use them in sometimes very original ways.  Green blown-in cellulose insulation is available, as well as radiant barrier insulation, for your attic.  In addition, our nano-technology window film reduces both radiant heat and thermal heat without much reduction in light.

 

Lighting

We can upgrade your lighting to CFL bulbs or LED lighting which will use less energy, create less heat in your home or office, last longer, and lower your carbon footprint. We also have solar tube lighting and skylights available.
